The catalogue for the 2016 Lion d’Angers mixed sale is now available and features 126 lots, including yearlings, stores, horses-in-training, foals and broodmares.
The sale, which takes place on November 4th, has produced many winners headed by four-year-old Punch Nantais (Puit d’Or), winner of the Prix Ferdinand Dufaure Gr.1, Congress Gr.2 and Fleuret Gr.3. Consigned as a yearling at Le Lion d’Angers in November 2013 by Haras des Embruns, Punch Nantais was purchased for €7,000 by Daniel Allard and has so far picked up prize-money earnings of €479,655. He has a three parts sister by Dragon Dancer that will be offered during the yearling session, lot 35. Other graduates from recent editions of the Lion d’Angers sale include Shakapon,
winner of the Listed Prix de Marsan at Auteuil (purchased by François Nicolle for only €4,000) and Desinvolte who finished third in the Group 2 Prix Georges de Talhouet-Roy at Auteuil last weekend (purchased for €6,500).
