The 2015 August Yearling Sale will take place in Deauville from Saturday 15 to Monday 17 August, centred around the Prix du Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard-Jacques Le Marois weekend, featuring the best race in the world over a mile. This first rendezvous of the year dedicated to yearlings will be followed on Tuesday 18 August by the third renewal of the v.2 Yearling Sale, which will have a very distinctive catalogue of 137 yearlings selected for their precocious conformation and pedigree. The catalogue for the August Yearling Sale, which is available at www.arqana.com, includes 374 hand-picked yearlings which will go through the ring according to the following programme:

The Deauville Yearling Sales are an excellent source of winners at the highest level. In the last four years, yearlings which have paraded through the Elie de Brignac sales complex have won no less than 29 Group 1 races including six Classic races. Chief among these are the dual Classic winner AVENIR CERTAIN, the exceptional THE GREY GATSBY, who defeated Australia in the Irish Champion Stakes (Gr.1) and was a recent second in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes (Gr.1) as well as the champion racemare TREVE,  who is bidding for an historic treble in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Gr.1).

The first FRANKEL yearlings on offer this summer at Deauville

A major attraction of this sale, the August Yearling Sale, will be the very first yearlings by the phenomenal FRANKEL to be available for sale.  Having gone to stud in 2013, the son of Galileo was unbeaten in 14 starts including no less than 10 at Group 1 level.
