ARQANA is pleased to announce that Alix Choppin will take up a new role as Head of Marketing and Communications, following the departure of Alexandra Saint-Martin.
Choppin, 33, is a graduate of HEC, France’s leading business school. Having been introduced to racing via the Championnat des Grandes Ecoles, a championship allowing students to take part in fun races on France’s most prestigious racecourses, she went on to work for Weatherbys, Newmarket-based advertising agency Barnes Thompson and later the French Racing and Breeding Committee. She was in charge of communication at ARQANA from 2008 to 2011, after what she travelled for a year and returned as Secretary General for the newly created think tank Generation Galop. She also collaborated with the Thoroughbred Daily News and Destination Europe.
Olivier Delloye, General Manager of ARQANA, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Alix back with an expanded role that will see her get more involved with ARQANA’s development, innovation strategy and customer relations. She knows the company inside out, having been a valuable asset for several years, and the additional experience she has gained over the past few years makes her the ideal person to help us continue with ARQANA’s growth and constant upgrade in customer service.”
Alix Choppin said of her move, “I feel very honoured to be given the opportunity to re-join the ARQANA team. They are such a dynamic, forward-thinking group of people who do their utmost to make France a pivotal place to buy, sell, breed and race horses. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Generation Galop, TDN and Destination Europe and wish to thank all their teams for the opportunities they gave me.”
