A 7th and last Wild Card has been added to the catalogue of the Breeding Stock Sale, which will be held from Saturday 6th to Tuesday 9th December at Deauville.

Consigned  by  Haras  des  Capucines,  lot  160  is  a  colt  born  on  January  11th  by  the  sought-after PIVOTAL out of LOMBATINA,  a young broodmare represented here by her first foal. Lombatina, who  was  purchased  yesterday  in  foal  to  Mastercraftsman  for  Gns320,000,  is  hailing  from  the outstanding German family of Sacarina, responsible for Group 1 winners Schiaparelli, Samum, Salve Regina and the dams of Sea The Moon, Seismos as well as Samba Brazil (lot 196 of the Breeding Stock Sale). Lombatina  is also a sister to Sortilège,  winner of the Premio  Lydia Tesio (Gr.1) and Intimhir, lot 211 of the sale.

The 6 other Wild Cards

Ecurie des Monceaux will consign  lot 120 LOVABLE, a 3yo filly in foal for the first time to Makfi, the talented son of Dubawi who made the headlines this year with his first crop of 2yos. A grand- daughter of Danzig, Lovable is the half-sister to Gr.3 winner at 2 SUMMER LEGACY. The latter is now a proven  broodmare  as she produced  MANDAEAN,  winner  of the Gr.1 Critérium  de Saint- Cloud, WAVERING, winner of the Prix Saint-Alary (Gr.1), as well as WINTERS MOON, who ran 3rd in the Fillies’ Mile (Gr.1) this year, and Listed placed MISTER GREEN.

Lot 130 GOTHIC DANCE is a 5yo mare consigned by La Motteraye Consignment. A daughter of Dalakhani, Gothic Dance captured the Premio Chiusura (Gr.3) this year at San Siro over 7f. Formerly, she won 7 races and was placed several times at Listed level. Her dam, Future Light, is a half sister to Gr.1 Sprint Cup heroine TANTE ROSE and to Rosies’s Posy, responsible for dual Gr.1 in the US DUBAWI HEIGHTS.


Christian  Delcher  Sanchez’s  charge   ANDRY  BRUSSELLES  is   lot  140   .  Effective  over  staying distances, this 4yo Hurricane Run mare added a Listed victory to her tally when landing this year’s Prix Scaramouche  at Saint-Cloud,  bringing to four the number of her wins. Her dam DONT DILI DALI (Dansili) shone in a Listed race in the UK and also ran 3rd in the Dahlia Stakes (Gr.3).


Haras du Thenney is offering  lot 150 HIDEAWAY HEROINE, a proven broodmare who was placed at Listed level over the course of her career. She is responsible for OMBRAGE, a daughter of Orpen unbeaten in three starts at 2 and notably winner of the Gr.3 Premio Dormello over a mile at San Siro. Hideaway Heroine also produced the Listed winner at 2 CISNEROS, as well as the promising 2yo filly MAIMARA, a daughter of Makfi in training with Mikel Delzangles. The latter ran 3rd in a good maiden race on October at Deauville, defeating Urjuwaan who recorded herself a pleasant win in a D race at Chantilly yesterday. Hideaway Heroine is in foal to the sought-after OASIS DREAM.


Haras d’Etreham will consign  lot 170 HAREM LADY, a 5yo mare in foal for the first time to the great Mastercraftsman. Over the course of her career, Harem Lady performed over distances ranking from 1800m to 2100m; she won four times and was placed 2nd in the Prix Allez France (Gr.3), 3rd in La Coupe (Gr.3) and also finished 4th to Romantica in the Prix Jean Romanet (Gr.1).This daughter of Teofilo is hailing from a very lively family as her sisters produced quality horses such as Group 2 winning mares MORE CHOCOLATE and RHYTHM OF LIGHT.


Haras du Logis Saint Germain will consign  lot 180 ASCOT FAMILY, a broodmare from the close family to dual Gr.1 heroine FLOTILLA. At 2, Ascot Family bagged the Prix des Jouvenceaux et des Jouvencelles (L.) at Vichy, showing precocity that she then passed on to her offspring. Her first foal is none other than NORDIC ONE (ex FAMILY ONE), winner of four races at 2 including the Prix Robert Papin (Gr.2) and the Prix du Bois (Gr.3). He also ran 2nd to Dabirsim in the prestigious Prix Morny  (Gr.1)  at Deauville.  This year, Ascot Family’s  2yo daughter  named  MODERN  FAMILY, broke her maiden and was placed 2nd at Listed level over 6f.
