SOLID TRADE AT PORNICHET

Posted on | Posted in news

The third edition of the Osarus Pornichet Breeze-up sale returned good results. With less lots offered (72 against 79 in 2013), turnover was similar to last year at €801,500 with an average of €16,255 and a clearance rate of 73,61% (against 65,82% in 2013), sign of strong trade throughout the sale.

The brunch buffet, courtesy of Haras du Saz (R-Y.Simon) and Haras des Embruns (Marie Illegems), was once again much appreciated.

Buyers, both French and international, were present, with among the regular customers Paul Nataf (8 lots), Cédric Boutin (5 lots), MAB Agency (4 lots), FBA (3 lots), Agence FIPS (3 lots), Jean-Claude Rouget (3 lots), Sylvie Sine (3 lots), Alain Couétil (2 lots), Charles Gourdain (2 lots), Thierry Lemer (2 lots), Jean-Vincent Toux (2 lots), BLM Bloodstock (1 lot), Yann Barberot (1 lot), Anthony Clément (1 lot), Christian Delcher-Sanchez (1 lot), Herni-Alex Pantall (1 lot) and Yvon Le Limouzin (breeder of Cirrus des Aigles, who purchased lot 31, a colt by Carlotamix), as well as new buyers such as D.O’Meara (3 lots), Tony Carroll (1 lot) and Josef Becvar (1 lot).

LEADING PURCHASER: JEAN-CLAUDE ROUGET

A FILLY BY MASTERCRAFTSMAN TOPPED THE SALE

The top lot, a filly by Mastercraftsman consigned by Séverine Quéré, was bought by trainer Alain Couétil for €75,000 for Ecurie Cerdeval and John Studd. She had originally been purchased by Guy Petit at the Osarus La Teste September 2013 yearling sale for €30,000.

The top-selling colt of the sale, Charly Béré by Sunday Break out of Monatora (Hector Protector), was bred by Alain Regnier and consigned by Haras des Chênes. He was knocked down to trainer Jean-Claude Rouget for €70,000.

Lot 16, a filly by Hannouma, half-sister to Chocolatier (recently placed 4th in the Group 3 Prix Vanteaux), consigned by Haras de Bernesq was sold for 51.000 € to Paul Nataf.
